Job Description

Full-time Housekeeper required for a Tribeca family starting ASAP (flexible for the right candidate). Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but you will be responsible for daily upkeep of the home, daily + deep cleaning, laundry and ironing and overall organization of the home.

The family has three young children and requires this person to interact with the children on a daily basis. A warm and friendly personality is required. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who has a strong attention to detail, is reliable and who can show initiative and good instincts with daily tasks. The family is looking for someone experienced, trustworthy and with a strong work ethic who is looking for a long term commitment, with discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

The right person for this role should be a self starter, proactive and enjoy a professional work environment. The ideal candidate has worked in fully staffed homes, has a team player mentality and is a strong communicator with the family and other household employees. Flexibility for occasional travel with the family over the summer to the Hamptons (preferred, not required).

Location: Tribeca, NY

Start date: ASAP

Days/times: Monday through Friday (40 hours per week guaranteed) * Opportunity for additional hours with overtime pay

Children: Three young children

Conditions: $35 - $40 per hour - dependent on experience, Health Care Stipend provided through QSEHRA (Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement)

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• Authorization to work in the US
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Housekeeper, 5 years + preferred
• An understanding of managing a household with children
• Readiness to help with all housekeeping and house related tasks
• Exceptional references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
• Discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions - family is looking for a long term commitment and the role to grow with the right candidate
• Comfortable with pets in the home (family has one dog). Family would love someone who is open to some pet related duties (ie. occasional dog walking).

• Fluency in both oral and written English
